Set List Maker has done honest work for a lot of bands for a long time, and if it already does what you need there is no urgency to move. One thing worth knowing before you invest in it: its own developer, Arlo Leach, also makes BandHelper, and BandHelper's comparison page states that Set List Maker is no longer receiving new features and points new users to BandHelper instead. That is not a criticism of the app — it is just a fact worth having before you build your library in it.

When Set List Maker is still fine

If it is already installed, your library is already in it, and a plain list of songs in an order is genuinely all you need, then it is free to start and it works. Nothing here is an argument for moving for the sake of it. The case for switching is specific: you want the set built for you, paced around your singer, and kept fresh across a residency — and you would rather be on something still being worked on.
